Hey gang, it's Politics Mom! I started doing Politics Mom because frankly, I needed some politically tailored reassuring words, so I made a TikTok, and another and another. So many of you have told me how much you love Politics Mom and I love you all too. Politics is hard work, and I don't mind reminding us all to step back and take a breath once in awhile.
Nice to Meet You
My name is Gillian Kratzer and I have a bunch of titles. I'm a Democratic County Chairperson, a Regional Caucus Chair, a Constituency Caucus Chair, a Political Consultant, an actual mom, and someone's spouse. After a long hiatus from college (thanks to American higher education funding), I returned to Penn State Altoona in my 30s, finished a BA in Political Science, and graduated from George Washington University with a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management. I love the Philadelphia 76ers, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, and napping in front of the TV with my dog.

One of my favorite things is teaching people how to get involved in local and state-level politics to make a difference in their communities. I live in Pennsylvania, which means there are new elections every year. If Pennsylvania politicos seem a little wild to you...it's because we're all tired, which frankly is part of what led me to create Politics Mom.
